Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating

Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method. These knives, however, are completely black, with a non-reflective black DLC coating on the blade. DLC-coating stands for Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating. Non-slip handle

The handle is made from polyamide and is for 15% reinforced with fibreglass to make sure the material doesn't wear out. In addition, the non-slip honeycomb structure of the Hexagon Power Grip guarantees extreme control. Wüsthof Performer: blade with DLC coating

The blade is made from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel and sharpened using Wüsthof's PEtec method with laser precision. What makes this series special is its black Diamond Like Carbon coating.
