The **Real Steel Bushcraft III Scandi** is a robust, and amazingly priced bushcraft knife. Real Steel definitely kept the shapes nice and subtle. No unnecessary frills: a good and simple knife.

 This version of the Real Steel Bushcraft III has a blade enhanced with a scandi grind. Amongst bushcraft enthusiasts this is a popular grind because it excells at wood work. In addition, a scandi grind can easily be sharpened.

 The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough and decent type of steel that retains its sharpness well, won't break easily and is also easy to sharpen. You do need to be careful with acids, salt and moisture: D2 is not completely stainless. We, however feel that this hardly outweighs the advantages of this tough type of steel. The spine of the blade is relatively sharp at the edges. As such it is easy to scrape tinder or use a firesteel.

 The handle is made from G10. The texture of the G10 gives you additional grip and the shape of the handle is designed as such that you can use it for a long period of time. It is the result of the slightly square, but mostly round handle. As such you won't be bothered by hot spots during long-term use. Real Steel added red liners in between the G10 handle and the tang of the blade which add a nice touch of colour.

 With an outdoor knife such as this the way you carry it with you is just as important. For that reason Real Steel includes a sleek kydex sheath. The belt clip that is individually included can be mounted exactly the way you like it. Ultimate freedom.

Conforme à mes attentes sur ce couteau.
Très satisfait

Très satisfait des finitions, bonne prise en main, je le trouve très beau esthétiquement, coupe rasoir en sortie de boîte, rien à dire, c'est parfait!

Couteau de belle facture, outil solide utilisable à peu près pour tout, il est solide et polyvalent, bonne prise en main même avec de petites mains. Confortable, je recommande

Points positifs :
Couteau solide 
Un design simple et efficace 
Possibilité de faire des coupes à la volée 
Manche très confortable (pas de points chauds même après une longue utilisation sans gants) 
Bonne rétention du tranchant avec l'acier D2 
S'aiguise relativement facilement (dc4) 
Parfait pour la coupe du bois 
Étui solide, confortable et avec une excellente rétention du couteau 

Points négatifs:
Manche trop lisse (glissant dans certaines conditions) 
Tranchant fragile (émouture scandinave oblige) 
Pointe trop épaisse pour certaines utilisations

En résumé:
Si vous cherchez un couteau bushcraft de qualité aux alentours de 50/60€ foncez ! Il est parfait pour toutes les tâches autour du camp et même pour une randonnée de quelques jours. 
La version 3 du bushcraft est de loin ma préférée: étui amélioré, pas de grosses inscriptions sur la lame, pas de "jimping" superflu. 
Cependant, je ne recommanderai pas le bushcraft 3 pour une utilisation tactique (manche trop lisse et pas de garde) ou de survie pur et dure.
